In 2024 Love in Action purchased 51,353 pounds of food from the Community Food Bank. Christian Service Mission donated 8,000 pounds and Walmart donated 126,375 pounds including produce and meats through a cooperative program with Community Food Bank. Plus the food drives from Vestavia Hills High School, Bumpus Middle School, Metropolitan Church, and Shades Mountain Baptist Church netted over 8,200 pounds.
People Impact
In 2024, Love in Action provided food to 1,383 families totaling 8,770 individuals including 4,188 children, and 1,250 senior adults. And we provided food to a nursing home, a child care ministry, multiple foster care homes, and a local AA meeting.
Love in Action became a 501(c)3 organization in 1993 for the sole purpose of providing food and clothing to families in need.
